Final Assembly

Position Summary

The Final Assembler is responsible for assembling all finished and coated firearm components into a completed, fully functional handgun that meets Atlas Gunworks’ exacting standards for quality, performance, and appearance. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to craftsmanship. Final Assemblers use precision hand tools and established procedures to perform critical assembly and tuning operations, including trigger work, sight installation, and extractor fitting.

As part of this responsibility, the Final Assembly team is entrusted with executing Atlas Gunworks’ test fire and functional verification protocols, ensuring every firearm meets safety, reliability, and performance expectations prior to shipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble coated and finished firearm components into complete, functional handguns in accordance with company standards and specifications
  • Perform detailed fitting and tuning of internal and external components, including triggers, extractors, safeties, and sights
  • Prepare and finish small parts through filing, polishing, deburring, and minor adjustments
  • Visually inspect all components for defects, cosmetic issues, and dimensional accuracy prior to and during assembly
  • Verify proper fit, function, timing, and alignment of all parts
  • Conduct required test firing and functional testing per established protocols
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical or assembly-related issues
  • Document work as required and communicate quality concerns to supervisors or engineering staff
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Properly use, maintain, and care for precision hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Consistently meet production and quality targets while upholding craftsmanship standards
  • Adhere to all safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to firearm manufacturing

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a background in one of the following industries: Manufacturing, Engineering, Auto Mechanics, or Assembly.
  • Must have 2-5 years of experience in an assembly related role.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to precision
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, specifications, and quality standards
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and assembly issues
  • Ability to consistently reproduce high-quality results in a production environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical training in machining, mechanical assembly, or related fields
  • Experience with inspection processes and documentation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and handle firearm components and tooling
  • Visual acuity sufficient for close-detail inspection
