Duties

  • Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions and various specialized trailers such as refrigerated units, flatbeds, and tankers.
  • Drive team routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules across designated regions.
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling of cargo including roll-off trucks and dump trucks.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and freight details in compliance with federal regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, and any issues encountered on the road.
  • Follow all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and driving to prevent accidents or damage.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record.
  • Minimum 1+ year Experience
  • Doubles endorsement or willing to get Doubles endorsement
  • Proven experience operating tractor-trailers, including manual transmission vehicles.
  • Experience with freight types such as refrigerated loads, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety regulations (DOT compliance).
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and customers.
